Varallo, where Precisa is located, is the beating heart of the Sesia Valley, a land of craftsmen, at the foot of Mont Rosa in the north western Italian region of Piedmont. These craftsmen are skilful, tenacious men used to the tough character of their mountains, who knowledgeably select their raw materials with a sharp eye for detail. Their innate dexterity and great talent over the centuries has seen them creating products of excellence that today are recognised for their quality worldwide, particularly in the fields of mechanics and textiles.
This smiling valley is a place where art, history and culture meet as much today as in past centuries. The UNESCO world heritage site of Sacro Monte, testifies to the artistic, handcraft vein of this proud people with its Walser origins. Architects, painters, sculptors, patrons of the arts, have written the age-old history of a valley known also for its wood and stone working artisans, producers of local cheeses and mountain breads, and as an international tourist destination thanks to its unspoilt natural setting, the Freeride skiing, rafting and fishing
